Do you feel like we have slowly been going back in time and suddenly we now find ourselves having the time to spend doing all those things we put off?
Me neither!
Unfortunately unlike many other people who now find time on their hands and may be suffering some itchy boredoms, my day is still the same as always albeit the silence which was my friend is not so currently.
I value my alone time, I need it. In fact it is essential for my mental well being. So if you read about a woman who loses her shizzle, that will be me.
When Mr Corona Virus decided to spread its ugly tentacles to the world, it did so with such severity it took control of all our lives. Its ending many lives prematurely and making living lives more difficult because of the things we have got so used to.
But let me add, things could be way worse in life. Dont moan.
A sentence of time with your loved ones for weeks on end is not the end of the world. In fact could be a time to discover each other and maybe listen for a change. Yes hands on the phone you who is half here and half watching tv whilst tapping on social media. You!
There is so much more to life than what you are used to.
I don’t think once this all is over, we will return to our usual lives so easily.
I believe this is a testing time and we will learn the things we take for granted and whats important. Well I hope so as otherwise as a species its true we learn nothing.
But spare a thought for the dysfunctional families out there who are stuck in the same walls together. There are people suffering because of this forced isolation and we may complain about our situations but domestic violence in homes is serious and there are children and partners who look forward to their normal days as they can escape temporarily what they face.
It’s those people I fear who suffer greatly at this time and we must be vigilant in keeping our ears open to those situations and reporting them so no child or adult is left to suffer.
Other than that, discover the pages of a good book or two or three.

I’m currently self-isolating as I’m in an at-risk group. The biggest stresses have been getting groceries delivered and making sure I got my prescription, but that is sorted for now. I’m philosophical about this – I’ll have to adjust my meal routines a bit, and I may be a bit leaner at the end of this, but I will most likely survive. I’m more concerned about my mum, who is putting on a brave face but I think is scared witless about what might happen if she falls ill.

Does your mum live with you currently? May be helpful if you did.
I’m concerned as I know it sounds daft but I worry about my cats. Even though housemate can I’m sure be capable I worry. Daft things come to mind at silly times. Fact is I’m ok at moment and plan to stay this way Be very careful and just embrace our new lifestyle for a while.
We will eventually come through it. 😊

…. writes Isabelle Cheren – yes the one that just was on Lab Gab with Strawberry – in her latest blogpost and leaves me scratching my prettyful noggin. This, my dear friends, this what many of you think of as a ‘back to basics’ kinda life, only endurable in times of crisis, this is everyday reality for hubby and me and billions of pensioners, sick and disabled people.
And pretty much everybody with a sound outlook on life, and not being infected with the American virus of More! More! Moar! and instant gratification.
Our fridge is full, we have enough bogrolls for the next couple weeks, tank of the van is filled up, internet fast and bottomless, life is good.
Please read and leave a Thumbs Up for Isabelle.
