Thelma is on her way back to screens again soon. In the meantime she desperately wanted to pose in this outfit for the blog.
Who am I to say no?
As I sit here tapping away on my phone, I’m watching NCIS and drinking a lush strawberry and kiwi Koperberg. What a lovely way to end my day.
I went for a long walk around my lakes today with my daughter and grandson, followed by lunch and a relax on my sofa . (Ok I also fell asleep on my sofa. ) But all of it, just bliss.
To me it’s very important to have downtime from all routine now and then. Work has to always take a back seat and so does blogging and vlogging.
The idea is to refocus and always to make sure you enjoy life.
I did a quick vlog on YouTube earlier about this as I have observed my fellow Vloggers and bloggers and I feel they need to cut themselves slack at times too.
Refocus on what’s important and grasp it with both hands. At the same time, give themselves an opportunity to energise.
I’ve always paced my life in this manner and it certainly does give me a sense of feeling more in control.
Anyhow, Thelma is coming back, frankly I’ve missed her dry sarcastic way of talking and as Autumn comes closer all characters will be back in screen again. For now though, I’m just enjoying the casual approach.
I’m home again today for boiler trouble. That old gift that keeps on giving.
Honestly I’m just one boiler away from deciding to give up this modern life and just live with cold water and no heating.
People do it . It used to be normal. So maybe I should adopt that as my new lifestyle anyhow. Saves all the trauma if I just get used to it. Plus it would save on bills that are lets face it getting astronomical.
But as I’m not the only one living here. I can’t.
Alas chained to modern life partially kicking and screaming. Also slave to my own desire for comforts. Aren’t we all!
Last night I woke up at 1 am, put on my finery and went to a live stream book event.
Ok, the truth?
Last night I woke up at 1am and dragged my pyjama clad self to my pc, bottle of water in hand and was the camera woman for the live stream debut of the of The Mystery Hour with Con Sweeney in Second Life.
It was something I was approached to do and I didn’t hesitate in saying yes to even though the times are at odds with my reality.
Con Sweeney is a Social Media Advisor and Strategy and Applications Consultant in New York.
Currently the emphasis is on the Mystery writers of America and how they are doing during Covid and promoting their works.
If anything, what a great way to introduce non virtual people into the virtual world and enabling another platform opened up to show how people can come together and communicate and collaborate despite distance and dare I say it COVID19!
This will run every 3rd Monday in the Month at Draxs book venue and yep you shall see me there poised filming like a camera woman. Ooo I might purchase myself a virtual prop for this!!!
The YouTube channel is Here. Hit subscribe and the bell to be alerted to the next upcoming authors to be swooped into our Second Life.
Now it’s early morning and yes I woke up normal time. I’m sitting here drinking tea in my home from Wild at the Designer Showcase. Waiting for a man to tend to my boiler!
