Are you into Halloween? I’m not really at all as I’ve said previously. Only virtually as that’s enough for me.
So many of the films associated with Halloween are basically slasher films which bear far too much resemblance to reality because let’s face it those Nut job weirdos exist out there!
So celebrating it in reality fills me with a sense of underlying fear. Mostly fear that one of the said Nut jobs out there gets a kick out of those films and builds ideas for their own repertoire of criminal insanity.
Having said that I often have to question the authors of these books and screen plays as to where their mind goes when they write this stuff? Like please explain what part of their mind closet they dig into to come up with the gory imagery we get left with? Are these their own secret dark fantasies? Seriously do you ever ask yourself this stuff?
Then pray tell why do we humans get a kick out of watching and participating in the whole storyline? What part of our closet minds rises up to find enjoyment in this?
I’ve had people in life say to me I’m a kill joy when it comes to Halloween. I always say though I need to understand it’s value and why as humans we can detest the acts of murder and abuse publicly but then off we go to celebrate this odd event and embrace all this like it’s ok?
Because it’s not real? Maybe in virtuality. Which is the only place I can find any “fun” from it.
So I enjoy the whole dressing up and looks in Second life, but I choose to not in reality.
I was going to release another blog today but I looked out my living room window to see the mist hovering over my lake and thought today was a perfect day to fit this in.
It took all my efforts not to pop myself in the photo, but I was good I refrained!
That aside in the credits I still decided to pop down what I was wearing. Not much. After all. You should know I was in reality in my pyjamas and in my SL running around too less.
The truth is, unless I’m actually blogging or planning to meet up with anyone, I’m often found hair down, no make up and just my undies on. After all, when you’re home, why not!
I rather like this shelter with my tropical setting. A place to hide when the rain starts falling. Apparently it may. But not in SL unless I command it. Sadly reality I have no power to control the weather.
Strange things happen at night when you are asleep during the Hallowed month.
All those who are laid to rest come up to celebrate and dance upon their graves. In readiness for the one day when the moon opens up and lets all of them free for the night to wander the streets of Hallowed lands. Dancing their way into Halloween.
She rises and seizes the moment…….

Harriet Parker has her own studio now since the BBBc has provided her with accommodation.
She has news to report on her show and today it’s all about Linden Lab and sadly Harriet is a little disappointed. Despite the exciting news there is one person she believed should have been featured. Her beloved favourite person.
Harriet gives a shout out live on air to Linden Lab to action her request. The question. Will they?
Sometimes the pace of life seems to run at a speed faster than we can keep up.
But if we plan then we can beat the clock and catch up.
I’m not catching up. So I’ve taken myself to bed in the hope of getting some sleep.
Deep down I know that will be short lived when the housemate comes home. She has no filter of any sort and a lack of respect for my personal space.
I could sit and tell you how my housing situation is troubling me but I shall spare you that woe.
Today feels like there is so much on top of me that even creating a video I decided not to do.
My grandson Mason was sent home from school today as a child in the class and his family contracted and tested positive for COVID. So all children from that class have to now self isolate. They are only 5!
I’m still trying to get my head around what is going on around me in the world but also how incredibly selfish people are behaving.
Why send your child to school knowing he is not well? Why be so selfish and do that?
