After the 8-4

Working from home has been an adjustment in many ways.

A positive one I have to say so far.

I can hand on heart honestly say in terms of who I work for they would be hard pressed to say it hasn’t produced a better worker in me.

After all I’m not bogged down by the few hours spent each day travelling to and from work. The added expense of transport costs and the awful environment which I cannot control.

I’m not referring to people, I’m referring to things we Fibro sufferers really struggle with.

Natural lighting and good airflow.

If I don’t have those two I find my potential to “zone out” is increased.

Don’t get me wrong I’m still liable to “zone out”, but I have more control of the environmental factors to alleviate it.

Now the not so good things about working from home that I’m having to consider.

Unless I see friends and family during the week after work, I potentially can go a straight 5 days with no human contact aside from phone calls and messenger with my colleagues. Chats with friends after work.

This is something I believe I’m still yet to work on a little. Also the tendency to turn into a tramp is possible. I mean seriously you can literally roll out of bed to the desk and back again at the end of the day.

So I’ve decided that this is something only I can control and do something about.

So starting tomorrow I’m forming the Liz plan of the day.

What is that you may ask?

Good question. I’ll let you know that as soon as I know.
