I wanted to share some interesting news.

I belong to a few voice sites as a voice actor and frankly have never received requests through them and anything I have ever done has been through direct contact.

Over the weekend I was sent an invitation to audition for a radio advert.

So what you may say. Well here’s the irony they were looking for a specific Australian accent.

I am Australian yes, but live in the United Kingdom. I’m sure my Aussie accent has dissipated somewhat.

So basically the advert is to do with financial solutions. I am among 20 who were invited ( and no I haven’t heard yet).

Here is the irony in this tale.

It’s an Australian company!!

If I do get chosen, that would be incredibly ironic and of course exciting to me.

I must now do my nails.
