The heats on its way back!
Not that it actually went anywhere. It just popped off for a little lie down and left us a little relieved as it became too hot.
British summer really is something else. It keeps you on your toes. You never know if you’re dressing for a heatwave, a thunderstorm, or both before lunch.
But I’ll happily take it. Blue skies, warm evenings, washing drying outside in five minutes, and convincing myself that this is the year I’ll spend every evening on my balcony. We all know how that usually ends!
So welcome back, summer. Thanks for the little break, but if you could stick around this time, that’d be lovely. Just keep the heat back a little.
We’re not asking for much… just a few weeks without having to carry both sunscreen and a umbrella everywhere we go.
