I can’t remember. Is it Wednesday or Thursday?
Seriously unless I look at the calendar on my phone. I’m struggling to accept we are near the end of Thursday.
I’m finding time is feeling like it’s disappearing before our eyes. I blink and it’s already another day. I wish it would just slow down a little.
Let me catch up.
This week I have really done little work as I’ve suddenly had an influx of union meetings and tasks to do. Those tasks relate to writing reports and doing checks . Which I love doing. It’s my investigative personality that gets to be used.
Yesterday I was back to back in meetings for 4 hours without any break at all. Have you ever tried not going to pee in that length of time when you were kinda needing to go at the start?
Let me tell you the pain was real. Don’t forget I’m also diabetic. The need to pee is even more prevalent.
Unfortunately there is an attitude to presenteesm that I think has evolved due to video meetings. People now forget that where you were sat in a room together you would just excuse yourself and pop to the loo. Now?? Now people expect your presence without break. There is no longer a consideration that you could leave the room anymore.
I believe this will be my next project to undertake. Remove presenteesm from the work place.
It’s a bad habit to get into so let’s just stop that now. If your guilty of that mindset. Change it!!
