I dreamt last night that I was dancing on an island and the air was cool and I was sipping iced limes in lemonade (no alcohol-shocked I know).
Reality is that I was up till around 2am if not later watching mushy films and texting a friend because there was no way I could sleep.
It’s so warm here in the uk at the moment. We are having a heatwave and frankly the uk is not designed for heatwaves.
Buildings do no have fans or air con as the standard and beaches are a day trip drive away with once you get there the sardine effect. Oh and swimming pools, they’re inside buildings!
Seriously. Outdoor swimming pools that I grew up with in the back garden are considered a luxury for the few and what there is for the local area is inside and hotter than is worth the bother.
Right now I wish I was back in Australia because I’m sweating like a sumo in a sauna hung over a rotisserie spit!
I’m going for a cold shower now. I had plans but frankly who wants to get on a hot tin can bus for 40 minutes? Not me. So staying home today.

Oh that dress its cute! It’s pretty hot here in the US also. I’ve been on vacation for the past 2 weeks at the Cape where it was in the low 80’s during the day and about 65 at night it was fabulous as always I dreaded coming back home Monday LOL hugz great post my friend & think cool thoughts! ( remember that movie with Marilyn Monroe (7 Year Itch) I wonder if her method of cooling off worked LOL)
