Hitching

What happened to the days when people could go hitch hike travelling and feel safe living their adventures?

The image above of me hitching a ride on the interstate is these days one I can’t condone anymore sadly.

Yet when I was younger we didn’t have to think too many times or as much about our safety.

Yes there were still reasons to be cautious, but today, right this minute even catching a busy bus is not safe.

When did our world get like this?

Each day I reflect a little on life and what it means and holds and each day parts of me wants to turn the clock back further and further.

Oh don’t get me wrong I totally appreciate some of the wonders we have in our lives. But these wonders have been at the expense of some of those basic things we were able to take for granted.

Safety, positivity, health, family, innocence, life in fact.

Along the way our world is ever changing and we need to hold on to those things as much as we can.

So this outfit and street reminded me of a time when I too hitched a ride with excitement at the adventure.

Today, I step on a bus reluctantly.

Still an hour in SL is like a day in a life of.

You can hitch a ride, balance on a bridge, swim a mile, dance under the stars, kiss a frog, link arms and just have fun.
