Deco Soup fan girl moment

Deco Soup fan girl moment

I’m having a fan girl moment.

After a really meh day as I explained in my last blog post I thought I’d cheer myself up by releasing this blog and video today.

It was due for tomorrow but hey I’ll press the finger down anyhow.

So I’m basically blogging the outfit from Suga Baby and blogging a gorgeous home in Second Life decorated by Sienna Foxdale. Subject to my fan girl moment.

Sienna Foxdale does some amazing decorative work under the brand name of Deco Soup.

So rather than me blathering on. I do feel you should just watch the video and then hop on over to check it out in real time.

A coffee before my next adventure

A coffee before my next adventure

SL17B is happening and there’s so much to do there. I went for an explore on my own just walking around some of the arty bits and need to go back and take some photos and video.

There is much to see and do and my internet is being a beatch at the moment. I crash and then have to reset firestorm settings every time.

What’s that all about?!!!

All I can say is it better be working when Ebbe is on the meet the Linden’s spot. I’m front row and no one, no one get in my viewing way.

Yes I have a virtual crush going on. Mind you also with Philip Rosedale.

Maybe it’s the whole man who has great mind thing???

Anyhow this outfit, FREE gifts at the #SL17B

Jumo dress in jungle

Jumo dress in jungle

Welcome to the jungle!

I love that song.

I was 5 months pregnant when I was at the 1992  Guns n Roses “Use your illusion tour” at Wembley Stadium. Right down there in the pit pregnant and dancing.

Welcome to the Jungle came on and I was like this wild woman in a sea of black t shirts wearing my ultra-colourful bright shirt and  tight black  jeans and sneakers. My hair was cascading down my back and I was having the time of my life. My hair was at the time a dark mahogany.

Then I  nearly passed out.

I was saved by a tall pale goth with his long dyed black hair and numerous piercings as he basically nearly carried me to the infirmary part which was central in the ground area.

There he stayed with me while I recovered and we sat and watched the show, him squeezing my hand in reassurance and a genuine caring.

I never knew his name and the only thing I did know was he came all the way from Birmingham on  his own to see the concert.

Wonder what happened to him. Did he grow into an older goth or did he swap his long locks for baldness and middle age?

Under the waterfall

Under the waterfall

As I stand here by the falls . My tears fall silently upon my heart but cannot be seen.

I’m going to be brutally honest here.

I cry inside with the pain of a mother’s heart that is separated from her children.

I have not seen my son nearly 3 months now and my daughter fleetingly a few weeks ago with my grandson outside on the pavement.

I was excited in many ways that I’d be able to have either of my children come here and come inside and hug from this weekend. Spend some real time together.

But you see that’s not going to happen.

Because I share my home with someone who hasn’t exactly followed the social distancing rules and in turn that means I can’t take the risk. Actually flouted a few times those rules. Don’t get me started on how. The government in its wisdom didn’t consider people like me. So on it goes.

The risk for my kids who won’t now be able to come here and that makes me sad inside. I’m at risk daily and I can accept that. But I can’t accept that my children are so close but feel so far away.

Technology is ok, it has its uses and ya da ya da ya da. Ultimately I’ve learnt that the most important thing for me is to stand in the same room with my family. Nothing else is important. Everything else feels superfluous and meaningless.

So I’m sad inside but also very angry. Angry that people are so selfish and self important and don’t think of others.

I’m angry that the world is right now behaving like a cesspool of hate and people have lost their minds. I’m angry that while I stand here feeling this, the world is behaving like it always has.

People kid themselves with all their self gratuitous statements and trying to be noticed and relevant.

The protests and the violence at a time we are meant to be united disgusts me. The hatred spread through Facebook and other social media’s like a silent virus, branching out and grabbing people along its way.

People victimising and bullying and accusing.

What has the world become? Unity lasted how long? We united because of a disease and then suddenly one police officer changed the world.

The people who have used that moment to gain social media fame and presence disgust me.

The irrelevant models, actors and businesses who exploit it to become someone in a world in turmoil. To behave like parasites using the time to be on stage and feel relevant.

The criminals who loot and commit violence. The people who choose to protest but social distancing becomes irrelevant. No cause is worth that right now. We are supposed to be overcoming something.

I’m tired and worn.

So, as I stand here under the waterfall and my tears fall inside my heart, I know that no one has learnt anything at all.

Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela are the true speakers. They both believed in peaceful protest and the power of what that could convey.

Everyone else? Missed the message.

No matter what way you want to mix it up or kid yourself. No one really knows what they are doing.

That beautiful image this weekend of a BLM protestors who go in and help a racist. That’s human!! Here’s the story Here

In the kitchen hiding from Stupid!

In the kitchen hiding from Stupid!

Last night I was spending time with my flat mate for her 30th birthday.

She went into her 30th with a pandemic and a divided world. She at the age of 30 is asking me what is the point of living anymore.

I sit here and try and give my positive so much good etc etc etc.

Truth is, where the hell has it gone? Where are the things we are meant to look forward to?

I wrote a post on my rl and sl Facebook walls this morning. I don’t come to my Facebook to see such hatred and bullying . Name shaming etc etc. It’s divisive and is never going to solve the problems. In fact it’s fuel.

There will never be another Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King again. Go back and read and educate yourselves because if you never learnt anything then, you won’t now.

I’m tired. People are tiring me. History doesn’t appear to have educated anybody at all. Not one bit. As I sit here from a mixed race background having lived in apartheid for part of my life. I sit here and frankly feel humans are the dumbest species on this planet.

The dumbest! It seems you can’t change stupid no matter what. Read and learn.

Remember in this life, United we stand, Divided we fall.

But for now I’m going to sit back and enjoy my view and pretend like my avatar, that stupid doesn’t exist.

I’ll tell you what’s got my goat today

I’ll tell you what’s got my goat today

I’m currently going through one of those iffy phases where the emotional rollercoaster starts to hit and I’m a little bit wobbly.

It’s not surprising really given so much change has been going on recently and it’s change I haven’t really asked for or wanted.

Actually frankly no one has.

But seriously if I hear one more time on BBC One about “flattening the curve” and about how we must do this or must do that, I’m likely to lose my schizzle.

Oh and what the “science says”. I doubt half of those “professionals” even have much of a clue right now. So they refer to the “science”.

In my honest opinion I’m starting to believe that they really are spinning a story in the daily briefing and I’m now tired of hearing a whole lot of nothing really being said. We don’t need to hear this day in and day out. Day after day.

That being said, only those in the U.K. will know what I’m referring to. An endless time moment that happens each day that really tells us nothing.

Seriously why not just say “We have nothing to say”?

So this war paint look from A R T E nicely reflects my disdain at the moment.

On another note I’m rather fine, just annoyed with media and political confusions dampening our lives with no real answers. Don’t get me started on the selfish lot who ignore everything…..

The Australian Fires

The Australian Fires

The video says it all. Plus I at least give you beautiful scenery while visiting the Isles of Scotland.

I’m asking you all to think about what you can spare and DONATE.

The links are below. It doesn’t matter how much you donate, remember even £1 or $1 can make a difference.

You are helping many thousands of people displaced and homeless, animals and firemen who are volunteers. We don’t know how long this will go on so its a huge moment in history of Australia and its important to come together and just help fellow human beings and animals.

One of the major and easier ways to donate is via facebook and it is on Celeste Barbers page dedicated to this  and this amazing lady has raised so much and keeps doing it.

Be wary of different places/people saying they’re raising money for this. Always go via the well known channels or visit online the Australian Consulates to find out how you can help,

Click here to donate via facebook through Celeste Barbers page.

The specific link to saving the wildlife is through the WWF which is Australia’s most trusted conservation Organisation and you just click  Here

Let’s not log in

I’m not logging in this fine Saturday evening as I have a better offer.

A friend is about to arrive who is cooking Spaghetti Carbonara, dessert and bringing the gin. I’m not complaining at all.

Life’s too short not to live it. Hence no video tonight either. That can wait till sometime tomorrow for the heck of it.

I wish you all a great Saturday and hope you are all doing things that count and bring great memories to life.

I’ll leave myself in the virtual snow dressed warmly and find myself tomorrow.

Call me Eyebrows!

Call me Eyebrows!

I remember the day I had eyebrows like Brooke Shields. A little more refined though.

I was always embarrassed as they were there in my face, on my face. You know what it’s like, there’s always something about yourself you don’t like. For me it was Brows.

However I never needed to pluck or wax as they were in fact pretty perfect in shape. I just never appreciated that fact at the time.

I don’t know if any of you women have noticed, as men lose the hair on their heads, we get thinning eyebrows. Fact. Oh and our pubes get thinner and apparently grey.

Now I don’t generally check my pubes out, I mean I don’t particularly stare at my vag as a rule, but I have noticed that thinning thing.

So, let me tell you, there is a plus to it, no wasting money on waxing! Clearly old age has its plus points.

Back to the brows. As you age they tend to thin. Only the previously lush browed people notice this fact as the others who spend their lives pencilling, notice nothing.

So when A R T E popped these brows in the Blogtex, I was laughing so much, because I though OMG brows!!!!

Hence the face because I’m like “I’d love these now in RL. Past the credits you will see a picture of me back in the day. Yes back in the day I was modelling and a very 80’s chick who had brow phobia. Oh and Marie Osmond hair!
