I need a lift

I need a lift to awake my soul right now.

It’s 1.34 pm here in the UK as I write this. I woke up about 15 minutes ago after a marathon sleep that my body clearly needed.

Exhaustion sometimes takes us by surprise and lately it has hit me like a sledgehammer.

I’ve been exhausted for quite a while now and constantly keeping myself running on my invisible treadmill for fear that if I stop and give in. This could mean a permanent life change.

To some that may sound incredibly ridiculous but to others that know how our own health issues and inner demons affect us, will understand and appreciate.

I am literally exhausted and with all the life worries that I have tumbling around in my head, I have to try and balance them. One accidental movement and the mountain could fall.

I think that’s the best way to describe exhaustion for me right now.

It’s a state of mind and a physical impact. What could change it? I don’t know. But what I do know right now, is that juggling has become my new skill.

I’ve woken up after 13 hours sleep. No more rested than I was before. Go figure.

  1. I know what you mean. I ended up sleeping about 9 hours on Friday-Saturday, and I reckon I could probably use several more sessions that long or longer. As it is, at least I’m getting fairly regular sleep now, so that’s progress.

    1. Lord after the craziness of my long sleep. Could I fall asleep last night? Hell no! Lol
So lesson learnt it’s good to stick to routine rather than have massive laze ins.
