I don’t like hype without action. There seems to be a lot of that going on because essentially humans often think only in the moment and not what is going to continue to happen.
We have the Cop26 going on here in the U.K. up in Scotland and like Greta says blah blah blah.
Sadly why does it take a conference where leaders get a free trip, food on tap and fab socialising to consider climate change? And I mean “consider”. Because fact is we need change way before yesterday.
This has been a subject for many years and I’m struggling to see that they’re really listening. Because at the end of the day, it’s more than leaders what is required.
Everyone on this planet needs to be part of the change program. Not sit back and moan about the leaders or hype the leaders for chatting about it.
Hence I’ve become quite passionate about action. I joined TeamSeas as I was invited. But now I’m so onboard it’s unreal. I have little ability to make a difference aside from my own bits I do at home in my daily life. But it’s not a good enough reason is it.
Where you see litter. Pick it up. Stop buying plastic. Recycle what plastic you have. Use public transport to get around, walk or cycle. Instead of buying that Star Bucks coffee, donate the money to the non profit organisations who are undertaking the clean ups !
