I just checked my phone.
The southern UK will be basking in a heatwave this weekend, and while everyone else seems to be enjoying barbecues and sunshine, I have one thought: I really wish I had a pool.
Not a luxury infinity pool. Just somewhere to cool off without standing in front of a fan pretending it’s a sea breeze.
Still, this is Britain. In a few days we’ll probably be complaining about the rain instead. Until then, I’ll be melting quietly and dreaming of crystal-clear water.
