After today, only one more day of work then relax!!
Its Easter weekend from Friday and I’ll be enjoying time out and catching a breath after a number of weeks of immense load on my shoulders and pressure.
Outside of our virtual lives we all have more important realities and the pressures of daily life, making ends meet, family and work.
Unfortunately there is no true escape despite being immersive. You always have to come up from the immersion and acknowledge the real.
My immersion is also very solitary and I prefer it that way. Some say I need to step out more in the virtual and socialise. But I’ve been there and done it. Worn the tshirt and right now enjoy very close friends and my own time.
I log on to be creative. I log in to immerse into my imagination and pretend I am someone other than Liz, the 58 year old, divorcee with the cat. Don’t get me wrong I’m a mother and a grandmother with a very varied and interesting lifespan.
However today I am now who I am and in reality also now quite ok on my own. So in both worlds I embrace my own company more. Children and close friends excepted. I have always an open door to that in my reality.
So as I sit here in one on my few places I have, I am always grateful to those in my reality who I call family and friends. Those friends I have also made in my virtuality who are now my reality.
