It’s Saturday and I woke up today with a thought. We are heading into winter soon and will we have snow?
To be honest every single winter I sit here wishing for it. However this year I am not. Mainly because the cost of winter will be huge to myself and many others given the rise in the cost of fuel right now.
A great part about disappearing into the virtual world is that we can find what we want or need that we can’t in reality right now. Dreams.
I find my winter as easily as a click of a mouse. I find my quiet place to reflect and disappear from real life’s challenges the same way.
It’s hard to explain to a non believer that being alone in a virtual space and just taking pictures, making videos and exploring is often great medicine to me. It always has been.
I lost my way recently because I lost my interest in just about everything because of reality. Then my best fur friend passing this past week was a incredible blow.
Today I wake up and realise life goes on and he is in a good place now at peace. I also realise that despite my “sadness” from how I’m feeling. There is always something to look forward to.

“Maybe winter soon?”
No ‘maybe’, no insecurity about the start of winter, hun. It’ll happen at the same date as in every year since anyone can remember – and even much longer, we just didn’t have humans and calendars on earth back then, and the dinos didn’t give a phucque: 21th December, the Winter Solstice.
At least for you in the Northern hemisphere. For me it’ll be the start of ice cream season! Naaw, we have that year-round. 🙂

Darn ice creams are gear round for me too just because. Can’t afford the heating so mild winter is ok with me. I’ll find the snow in Second life instead 😊

I don’t like winter. Not even in SL, for it means I must get the biki off and put real clothes on Orca. And shoes and all that stuff. 😦
