I was such a dirty stop out!
Nightclubs opening till the late hours of the early morning, me dancing all night.
Swaying out and deciding with my friends we would go have pancakes for breakfast and then rolling into my front door around 7 am. Showering then getting ready to go to work.
Yes, I have a history of burning that candle at both ends and enjoying life. Glass of Tequila and orange in hand.
That was my routine Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
The other nights? Those were my catch up on sleep nights.
On the weekends I would head straight for the beach instead of home and wake up on the sand, dress as a pillow and my undies as my bikini.
Not a care in the world.
I knew most of the DJs in Sydney and Melbourne and so going out clubbing on my own was never a daunting experience. I did it often when friends couldn’t.
Back in the day you went out and danced. Met people and had fun. Struck up conversations with anyone and that was pretty normal.
But now? Totally different world and I’d never recommend anyone doing it.
Now if I were to go out clubbing. I’d be home by 12, need a cup of tea and take at least 4 days to let my body recover.
My one habit is I still love music and still talk to complete strangers.
Do you still do some of those things you used to do?
