I counted the hours, minutes and seconds to logging off from work today. I haven’t wished for 4:15pm as much before.
Honestly if I managed to achieve anything today it was working like a robot and just going through the motions. My apartment has been just too hot to concentrate and if I had a private garden with a lovely leafy blossom tree, that’s where I would have been working. I can imagine of course.
Unfortunately my balcony is not shaded and is also not private. Any talking on the phone would more than likely bounce around the outside as an acoustic echo for all the neighbours enjoyment.
Sitting inside with the fan blasting, really did nothing other than blow my salty sweat over to the one cat laying in the chair next to me. I don’t think he cared at all. He was out like a light in his own heat frustration.
Im now sat on my sofa after a takeout dinner. (No way am I cooking and making it hotter in here!) Im feeling relaxed and although still warm, the fan is helping somewhat. The cats both flaked out on the sofa next to me. All is right in the world.
Better still I’d love to be like my avatar, by the water just feeling the breeze around me as the day falls away.
I wonder what your perfect end to the day may be?

…Inviting you to sit on the beach with the rest of us hens and then waddle back to our wittle individual cottages?

Thing about England is that I find hot days here unbearable but am so able to have hotter in Australia and South Africa. I think the difference is here the heat is humid. Whereas I am more a lover if the dry heat.

Yes, True. Presently, in NL close to the ocean, so those beach days are nice…although headed back to US – but still close to the water so there’s always that cross breeze even on hot days. Originally from North East, NEVER enjoyed the 15 years of FL (US) because of the humidity. You’d love AZ, then!
