I’ve given myself a day off Friday. From real life work that is.
Yesterday I hit a low ebb after quite a few days of feeling pretty tearful. No reason, just like most of the planet going up and down. Feeling that life is wasted and asking myself is this really it?
I always keep myself busy to try and feel more positive but I certainly do get those days that feel overwhelming and I just have to have a day out.
So knowing how I am, I’ve booked Friday off to gain some me time. Just a day to do whatever I want. Anything other than be sat at a desk and staring at a pc for 8 hours talking to no one.
The reality is unless I talk to a “customer” I talk to no one all day. It does get a tad lonely and it feels like it’s never going to end.
The truth is I know it will as we slowly start to unlock and see people more. But until then, it’s just a bit of a hamster wheel.
Anyhow that’s today’s rather poignant moment if you want to call it that.
