I’m on annual leave, and I’m not doing much at all with it. Just enjoying the quiet and the rest.
No alarms, no work deadlines, just slow mornings with coffee and peaceful days. My to do list is on pause, and it feels wonderful.
The highlight? Those surprise bursts of sunshine that make everything brighter. Stepping outside, feeling the warmth on my face it’s the simplest pleasure.
Rest isn’t lazy, it’s necessary. This break is recharging me in the best way. The only break I’ve had in ages has been operations, shoulder impingement and Shingles. Clearly not a break.
Here’s to calm days and soaking up the sun whenever it appears. I don’t miss work, who would when relaxation is the result of not doing it.
