There I was at Luanes World looking like a model, the sun blazing just right, and me (well, my avatar) styled to perfection and perched effortlessly on top of a car stacked with surfboards. Or so I thought.
This was meant to be the shot. I had the whole setup the golden backdrop, the windlight settings dialled in, and the outfit draped.
What I didn’t realise? I’d completely forgotten to adjust the pose.
And did I notice while snapping away? Of course not. I took the photos, logged out, changed everything, the outfit, location, mood. By the time I saw the chaos I’d captured, it was too late to go back. Frankly I wanted to log off and go watch House.
So naturally, I am posting it. Well the better one of the 8. You can barely see the hand disappearing into the car roof.
Because sometimes you just have to lean into the mess. It’s not the photo I wanted, but it’s the one this blog deserved. Glamour with a hint of glitch. Surfboards optional. Dignity not guaranteed. I have none.
Pretty much summing up my life. Totally imperfect, but it will do.
