Honestly the day I was told I shouldn’t eat McDonalds any more I was seriously blown. Diabetic and all those carbs not good for you etc etc.
I’m going to be honest, telling me not to do something has entirely the reverse outcome. I then crave it more and feel the need to have it.
Same with chocolate. I gave up chocolate for like 6 months, but that blew over. I’m back craving it like no one’s business.
So today I caved on the chocolate and and not the McDonald’s but had a thin crust pizza instead for dinner.
No doubt I’m going to be as high as a kite tonight but frankly that itch has now been scratched and I’m good to go again pretending that those habits of a lifetime disappeared.
Well not quite lifetime habits.
I only started poor eating habits when I came to the U.K. as back then I had young kids, not much income and my husband at the time was very into all of that stuff. Plus eating fast food is very normal here. In fact everyone it’s a habit every Friday night. (Not with me though. I can’t afford that habit)
I was a great health advocate back home in Oz but at the time healthy eating was always the norm and affordable there. I know it’s different now of course.
Anyhow I’m waffling. Deets below to what you see.
