Literally true story

I am literally sat here on the sofa eating my lunch. Ham sandwich and a pear. Exciting stuff I hear you mumble. Well it is actually given I’ve been sat at my work desk since 8.25 am till lunchtime. A whole 4 hours of buttock numbness.

Honestly does anyone find working from home they get up less and move less?

It’s funny but when I was in the office I was moving so much more just to print something or make tea for everyone. Now I’m like the hidden recluse on the top floor admiring life from afar.

Don’t get me wrong, I love working from home. In fact I don’t care if I ever see the workplace again. To be able to think without constant chatter is a huge plus. It was so difficult previously to get the concentration and now I have it.

I basically just need to myself do something to move more in my work day.

My plan you ask? I’m going to set myself alarms during the day that force me to do something else. Maybe even simply just stand up and stretch but something.

I spoke to another lady who said she found herself growing into her chair. Honestly that is me!!!

Time to stand up!!!

  1. I’m having to take more breaks from sitting at the computer during the day, even if it’s just to walk around and stretch a bit. If I’m there for more than a few hours, I can literally feel my circulation dropping around my legs.

    1. Yup. I do leg exercises under the desk to keep the blood flowing. I think in many ways the hybrid working is going to create a lot of health conditions for people if you don’t actively do something
