Just waiting

Right now I’m getting my inner seductress on.

Well only pretend of course because in the real world I’m freezing on a bus headed to work and having a bout of nausea hoping no one sits next to me.

I think the smell of anyone right now will make me chunder like a waterfall. So tapping this blog is kind of providing me a distraction to the bus motion.

It’s Thursday today and only one more day to get through.

You’re probably wondering why I’m going to work given I feel so rubbish?

Like many others you feel “compelled” to. We don’t have reasonable management and I’ve already been made to feel bad for daring to have sick days earlier this week.

I did say once before, compel me and I’ll just bring it to work and let them decide if they feel that sharing is a good thing.

This bug is contagious, my son already has it and no doubt anyone else I’ve come into contact with in the last few days.

Do I feel I’m going to be productive today? I guarantee not.

Will I be away from my desk a lot? Well let’s see if I even make it that far as I’ve got a 20 minute walk when I get off the bus still yet to conquer.

This ladies and gentlemen is how public sector employment rolls. Even if you’re in a union it makes no odds as at the end of the day we all rely on our pay cheques.

I’m a stubborn soul and if I need to make a point I will. So today I will over ride my natural need to crawl back into my bed with a bowl and crack on. Who knows anyhow this may be gone by 10am. Though to be honest if you are looking for me I’ll be found in my desk corner staring at my screen .

It’s great for weight loss you know. If you need a kick start in that direction I’ll be available for one to one bug transfers ha ha.
