Some days I don’t want a fresh start. I just want to skip ahead a few chapters in life.
Not forever. Just forward. To the bit where things feel lighter. Where I’ve figured a few things out. Where Im all adult and got my ducks in a row.
Where my body behaves, my bank account isn’t passive aggressive, and I don’t lie awake replaying conversations from years ago and dreaming how I could have changed things.
It’s not that I hate my life. I’m just tired of the middle bit. The “be patient, it’s building character” phase.
I don’t need a time machine.
Just a tiny preview that it all works out.
And maybe a nap.
