I wonder how many households are creating their food contributions for the holiday festivities on Christmas Eve?
Personally today aside from a complete vacuum and dusting, my time in the kitchen will be minimal. I’ll be making some home made chocolate fudge and some spicy biscuits. Just something to have when anyone pops around.
Truth is I’m alone Christmas Day and it was a decision I made given how I’ve been feeling this year. I wanted to just laze for the day and frankly do absolutely nothing aside from see my kids for the morning to exchange gifts and make some calls to my family and friends overseas.
I’ll be cooking myself a nice roast dinner and watching endless soppy Christmas films. I’m actually quite excited at that prospect. A hugely me day of eating what I want and doing what I want.
The other side of me will be thinking about people who seriously don’t have this and who are in situations of conflict right now. It’s very hard not to think about that.
Boxing Day I’ll be at my son and his wife’s with my daughter and hers and my ex husband. Yes we are on good terms as why not?
In reality I don’t have a Christmas jumper like my avatar. Though I have a Christmas nightie. So on with that it will be!
Have a wonderful day wherever you are and just enjoy time off and seeing friends and family. Those moments should be cherished always, creating memories

A quiet Christmas ain’t bad. I had been planning to drive down to San Antonio to spend time with my stepmom and a few siblings and their families. Unfortunately, stepmom and a niece both came down with covid so I opted to stay put with the manpanion instead.

Ahhh Covid it’s got a new strain here in U.K. which I’m guessing you guys have also got over there. I just woke up and it’s just past 6.40 am. May go back to sleep lol
