Cancel Culture in Second life

Ive had a good week of not touching my camera recording software, apart from live streaming on the Second Life book club for Drax.

It’s been quite cathartic and at the same time I’ve concentrated on issues in reality more in the news and looking at the bullying social media culture that’s just increasing.

That culture sadly has a very strong presence within the virtual community because people are saying and doing things that in reality without social media, they would think twice, thrice before they did.

It’s called Cancel culture. Basically social media brings out the worst in people and anger turns into a culture of people using social media at its worst.

I hate seeing this in any way shape or form. It’s not the right way to do things and nor is it the smart way to do things. Whoever is wrong or right in any situation you need to always remember the truth always sits in the middle. That is a fact. Unless you know the truth, reserve sensibility. Don’t participate as what you are doing is fighting and ostracising based on gossip, and often a lot of fake news. OMG I used that term!!! But it’s true.

I spoke out in a post this week on Facebook and I felt I had to. I very rarely comment on salacious things but I’m seeing people becoming “gangs” and acting like some of the worst bullies yet at the same time they are not understanding or seeing the effect they are having . I’m sure these people in reality are decent caring people but for some reason social media creates a divisive effect and all rationality leaves them as the fingers get pounding on the keyboards.

Be smart, be a human and just use a brain cell. Don’t become a cancel culture antagonist.

So here I am showing you there are brighter things to do. Take a picture and just relax.
