The Hippy

With all the negative stuff happening around us right now, don’t you sometimes wish you could find another era to step into for a while?

I fancy being a hippy. Carefree, walking around with my guitar (which I cannot play) and just free love. Well todays Jacket inspired my feelings and why not.

Looking at life like it is one big adventure and without a care in the world.

Well that’s how I see the days of the hippy. Sadly my parents are not here anymore for me to ask what it was like.

Though I do remember their clothes they wore. My dad wore such loud shirts with the old hairy chest peeping through and  dare I say it Im sure I remember flares with sandals! My mum on the other hand was more glamorous and would always be seen wearing a Sari. She was fond of a Sari and her friend always gave her the most beautiful colours to wear. She wore them with her sandals  and lots of gold. She was a gold woman all her life, whereas I’m more the silver girl.

I have very little memories of them in that era ending because frankly I was a little bean child still. Though the seventies! OMG the things I could tell you as to what my mum wore!!

Suffice to say I’ll tell you about those days one day. My surreal childhood of madness, sadness and colour.

  1. My parents weren’t hippies, but I remember – and have photos of – the stuff and hairstyles they had in the 70s. 🙂

I recognised Tableau from the photo you took. 🙂 I first discovered it back when I first joined Second Life, but I never bookmarked it, and only recently rediscovered the place while looking for drag queen stuff, believe it or not! 😀

    1. Lol I’m going to dig out some photos in weekend and share them in a blog, I remember I had a wacky wild poncho when I was little. I love Tableau it’s such a cool place just for it’s faded earthy feel
