If anyone tuned into to watch the BLOGGIE’S awards on Youtube last night you would have noticed that the stream was not working and you had to click the stream url posted to hear the awards.
The person controlling that live stream was me.
You see I was asked yesterday morning if I could do it last minute as the original person could not.
I said ok sure I’ll do my best and logged in and set up OBS etc ready.
What no one could have realised at the time, not even me, is that my computer would reject the url for the sound and I would not be able to stream the sound.
I spent the entire time attempting various softwares to pick up the url to play it but at each attempt it came up either as a invalid url, unsecure url or it hung . It transpired that my antivirus rejected it. I realised that when I went to a different parcel and sound picked up automatically. Then checked and there it was.
So I checked a short while ago and even now it won’t play for me.
What I did in the end at the after party is stream my own music in apology for this. So no copyrights would affect BVN and they would have some kind of sound.
I am gutted inside to be the one responsible for people missing out on the live sound of the event.
I’ve never had this issue before and don’t have this issue other than with that particular set of urls.
All I can do is apologise to BVN and all the contestants in the Bloggies and point you all in the direction of the web page so you can see the winners here.
Again, I can only say sorry.

The stream can’t play on my pc. Loads of others do but from that particular set of urls my security banned it. You heard the stream via the link but it never played on YouTube which is what it was supposed to do. I could hear it in my phone fine. Anyhow I’m upset with myself about it and not much I can do about it now.
