I stare at this carton, all pink and sweet,
Strawberry milkshake, my favorite treat.
I take a sip, then glance at the side
How many calories are hiding inside?
200 per serving? Wait, there’s more!
I check again, just to be sure.
Three servings in this little drink?
I pause mid-sip and start to think.
Do I drink it all and face the cost?
Or sip slowly, mourning what I’ve lost?
But then I shrug, “What’s life for?
A few more calories—who’s keeping score?”
So here’s to sweetness, thick and cold,
A carton of joy I’ll gladly hold.
Calories come, but fun stays the same
