Everything’s ready well, in line.
Cutlery straight, a festive sight,
Waiting patiently for the night.
Candles glow, the room looks right,
A picture dressed in Christmas light.
All is done, no more delay…
Except the food to cook Thursday.
The table’s ready, proud and true,
Now it waits on me and you.
