Halloween arrives soon
Like that cousin you didn’t invite to the family party.
Pumpkins are grinning, candles are lit,
And my costume still looks like utter sh— nonsense (I don’t wear one I’m scary as it is)
The shops sell cobwebs for £5 a strand,
I can just leave my house unplanned!
Kids want sweets, I want gin,
Let’s see who gets what when the night begins.
Witches are cackling, ghosts go boo,
I’ll just here under my sheet budget-friendly too.
The neighbours pretend they’re not at home, so do I.
So here’s to Halloween, full of fright and flair,
When calories don’t count and we don’t brush our hair.
Dress up, drink up, make it a scene
But bear in mind in reality I don’t celebrate Halloween
