Sun’s Out, Scars Out

The sun’s shining, the sky’s pretending it’s still summer, and here I am, proudly swanning about in my shorts like I’ve just been sponsored by Savlon.

Why? Because my legs are still decently presentable until my next melanoma operation on the 23rd of October on my shin. I’m having another WLE.

Just as the first surgery has healed up nicely smooth, neat, and starting to feel like part of me again, the universe has said, “Round two, please!” Typical.

So yes, while everyone else is pulling out their cosy knits, I’m prancing about the house in shorts, soaking up whatever Vitamin D I can before the next round of stitches, scars, and pain.

It’s not cold, my legs are still free, and frankly, they deserve their moment in the sun before they get patched up again.

Because if life gives you melanomas… you might as well show off your legs while you still can
