4 days to work?

Honestly I hate Mondays! Really I do.

I do hope the new Labour government continues discussions around the 4 day working week.

It’s been trialled in businesses and one or two local authorities and it thus far has been a success. Maybe my Mondays would seem less angsty if I compounded those 5 days into 4 days?

Mind you, the mere fact that apparently in order to live I need to work, is proving somewhat of a flipping cheek. Seriously who decided on this means to survive?

Who decided 5 days had to be spent hating life for only 2 days to be appreciated? Own up now!!!

In other news I’m just chilling against the backdrop of shrubbery.

  1. Apparently the 5/2 days was voluntary “The present-day concept of the relatively longer “week-end” first arose in the industrial north of Britain in the early 19th century[3] and was originally a voluntary arrangement between factory owners and workers allowing Saturday afternoon off starting at 2 pm on the basis that staff would be available for work sober and refreshed on Monday morning” Not that Wikipedia is the greatest of Sources. I was convinced it was Henry Ford at the car factory.
