Valentine Lost

In February’s embrace, love whispers sweetly,

A dance of hearts, elusive yet neatly.

Valentine’s Day, a tale spun above,

Yet, in its cadence, I find no love.

Through fluttering cards and roses’ embrace,

Love often eludes, a puzzling chase.

Cupid’s arrows, they playfully fly,

Yet, my heart’s melody, a silent sigh.

In the air of romance, I stand and ponder,

Why does love wander, leaving me to wander?

A carousel of affection, spinning nearby,

Yet, on this stage, I remain the shy.

Amidst the charm of chocolates and red,

I tread the path where love has not tread.

Valentine’s melodies, sweet and clear,

Yet, in their resonance, my heart holds fear.

But in solitude’s embrace, I find solace sweet,

A love story unfolds, a rhythm discreet.

For though Valentine’s gaze may often miss,

My heart whispers tales of a silent bliss.

So, let the world celebrate love’s ballet,

In its shadows, I’ll find my own way.

For in solitude’s echo, love takes flight,

And within my heart, it blooms, out of sight.
