The Karen

I couldn’t help myself. Today I am the Karen. In the video that is.

However this applies to Susan, Beth and all the other ladies and men on the planet. To be honest it’s a term used so frequently that I wondered where it came about.

I was quite surprised to be honest and I bet many of you have used it without thinking where it originated from. Just used it to describe someone who has got on your nerves doing and saying something that is different to you or pretty irritating.

Something I found on the web:-

Karen is a slang term used as an antagonistic female character in memes. “Karen” is generally characterized as an irritating, entitled woman, sometimes as an ex-wife who took custody of “the kids.” In 2020, the term was broadly applied to a swath of white women who had been filmed harassing people of color, including dialing the emergency services on them for no criminal reason.

An interesting swathe of what this term actually means. So maybe before we call someone a Karen we should be aware what the meaning of it is really .

Maybe we shouldn’t refer to people as Karens. How about we just call them what they are? Ignorant, racist, and bigoted. Leave the name out of it because, the Karen’s I know are actually none of those things.

Now details of the outfit are in the credits below and soon I’ll be doing a video to show you my home.
