I want to live my life, not record it.

I want to live my life, not record it.

That quote really does hold poignancy in todays world. Given everything we do we record. I would say we spend less time living and more time recording our lives.

This blogger challenge  was inspired by ReadMeri who decided for this challenge #5 to opt for the theme the Silver Screen. Here you can go look at her amazing post for Gone with the Wind.

Now I will be honest there are way to many for me to consider favourite as such. I pondered on Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Doris Day in Calamity Jane or Elizabeth Taylor.

But then there are also the strong iconic women of our time who have been portrayed on the silver screen and I thought to myself Natalie Portman who portrayed Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy in the film Jackie.

This lady was and is still known as one of the most popular First Ladies. Not withstanding Michelle Obama.

If you haven’t seen Natalie’s fine performance in this film, I highly recommend it to you. Its the story of the days when she was First Lady and her life immediately after the assassination of her husband President John F Kennedy. Natalie Portman is outstanding in her portrayal of Jackie and totally owns that role.

I had fun trying to find hair for this challenge. Sixties and big, hell yes!

The outfit I was lucky to get from IM Collection aptly named the Jackie O. If that isn’t a sign, then what is.

Of course the sunglasses had to be thrown in .

The stand, well that’s attitude and strength.

If you want to join us in the blog challenge. Its simple. Just set a picture of your Silver screen Icon and then in the blog post explain the reason why. Dont forget to link back to this post and happy blogging.
