Cake and all things nice

Cake and all things nice

After work today I went over to my friends house for an afternoon tea date with my other friend. We had an afternoon tea party.

It was Annette’s birthday yesterday and so we had some cucumber and ham sandwiches and cake. Lots of cake. Oh and ice cream and strawberries and more ice cream, and lots of cake!

Hence when I decided to take a photo of Raindale’s  Lanhall planters, the inspiration was  for more cake. If I could have thrown in some ice-cream I would have.

When we get together its an eat fest. I wont deny this. We like chocolate and we love ice-cream.

Nothing to do with these gorgeous planters but what the hell you may as well know how I rocked my after work hours today. Now a wee video popped on flickr.  Not sure it will thrill you but I am trying to show they change colour. Watch, no watch I am serious

Being home

Being home

There is something so amazing when you walk through your front door and close it off to the world and disappear into your own space.

Its called being home.

Designer Showcase doesn’t usually have décor and when this popped up in my blog box today I thought you know what, I had to do it straight away.

I was going to do a Coffee with Isa from it and will do , but today I just wanted this photo without any humans in (well pixels) and just to admire the look of it and wishing when I turned to look at my living room in the real life my sofa was like it.

Dont get me wrong I love my living room, and I love my sofa, but at times don’t you wish you could click a hud and just change it like you do in virtual life to something new depending on your mood?

I did not move one thing from rezzing this. It laid and I was quite pleased at how it looked in its display that I left it as it was and added nothing else. Frankly it doesn’t need anything else in this scene.

Thinking about some ideas for your Linden Home garden?

Then how about a lovely gacha set from Raindale. Hurry though as I believe it runs till the 20th May.

Check the video.

River Break gacha items as detailed below are from Raindale and right now at the 6th Republic Event

Here is a link to the DEMO area.

There are ten commons and the rare is the pond. I actually have resized it to fit the Linden home back garden. So you can size to your garden preference. The only item I am not showing in the video is the cute little bridge but that is because my prims ran out. The Trevor Junior was asleep in the cot inside.

I have included the merchant photo so you can see all that is available in this gacha. Ideal for the Linden home back garden.

A bit of décor why notI

A bit of décor why notI

The number of times I try to décor I cannot tell you but I try each time. In reality I’m a very simple minimal type of person. So not overly anything but the preference for lots of plants.

My linden home is also like my reality. Very minimal in many ways and not much detail. Bit then that’s because I’m seriously a cannot make my mind up person.

Doing décor for me therefore is hard but a challenge I keep trying. I see blogs such as  Moz Loordes and The Kess Crystal and I have super envy. But I try and I give myself a pat on trying, and trying and trying. Help!!!

The cottage by the sea

The cottage by the sea

I quite like the idea of a cottage by the sea.

Right now I’m sitting here on my balcony enjoying this glorious sunset descending down around me, watching the geese flap around.

Choosing to enjoy this moment rather than sit in my apartment staring at a large computer screen.

Glass of Pimms in hand and my iphone in the other.

Moments like this are so precious and when we have them, we need to make the most of them.

One of my favourite things to do in the summer months is simply this, watch the sun slowly go down.

This video isn’t live on You Tube and probably won’t be as I often choose to keep some videos solely available via the blog.

But feel free to watch and see how lovely this cottage is from Raindale in this months Builders Box.

Décor Jazz

Décor Jazz

Yesterday I arrived home from work basically in tears.

Office bullies are my greatest despise.

They come in all shapes and guises and you least expect it when it happens to you.

I didn’t expect to overhear the discussions whispered at high volume or notice the interrogation of my work by someone who is famously and I mean famously incompetent. But I did.

It hurt.

You see two of the people involved both are highly unprofessional women who have major flaws in the workplace.

One for being basically paid a high wage and not doing her job properly for the last 5 years and the other for her poor behaviour in the office regarding her colleagues and the way she can treat them. Add to that open gossip about other team members in an open plan office.

Back to the first women. She has been protected from disciplinary action from two line manages because of her friendship with the grandparent manager.

If she hadn’t had that protection she would have been out of a job at the very least 3 years ago.

The other is simply great at her actress skills when line management are about.

So yesterday I was in the fire line for their toxic collaboration. It felt awful and today I’m unsure how I feel.

Suffice to say I am not one to tolerate being bullied. That is why I became a union rep in the first place.

Bullies have no right to be in any workplace, school or social environment.

So anyhow I went home and decided to immerse myself in something else.

Another attempt at decor.

Thank you to Raindale for letting me use your land to film.
