Salsa with me?

Its always a challenge for me when I have a male dance to do and I frankly haven’t the time to do up my dance bots and get them jigging with me.

The other fact is that those who I can invite are on different time zones to me and so never the twain as I tend to get an idea and want to do it stat.

So today I am doing a male Salsa dance as a delightful female.

I  frankly feel I  do a fine job with those moves and hope I do Francisco Vazquez dance moves from Paragon Dance Animations some justice.

Coupled with the right colour clothes I am ready to dance.

After all Salsa is about vibrancy and being alive.

Now your probably thinking I’m about to admit cheating in my exams aren’t you?

Actually I never did.

I’m having breakfast and contemplating my shower and getting ready for work in under an hour.

Today I have a lot to do and also a meeting this morning.

It’s interesting having meetings outside the formal work place as I have noted how much more relaxed people feel and less stressed.

A good cup of tea, a bit of cake and a box of tissues makes so much difference to people in times of stress.

Oh and cats. My cats are like a wonder drug. Seriously, I do believe that workplaces should consider pets.

They are like the ultimate smile giver when anyone is feeling low and forlorn.

They bring an instant smile to your face and remind you that life has so much more to it.

I’ve had a few people who have said how much calmer they feel after having been around.

I’m pleased with that because when you are facing tough times in work, it’s important to remember that life has so much more to it. It’s not the end. It’s just a blip.

Do you ever wake up look down and think to yourself whaaat!

I just woke up and realised that I’m not my avatar. I mean really.

She is probably aged 25 and I am double her age. Her boobs are pert and mine, I need to lift up and throw over my shoulders when I walk.

She can go braless, I cannot.

Her legs are as smooth as plastic silk and mine are needing a shave (yep 3 days none) and have upper inner leg jiggle.

Her ass is pert, mine I cannot find.

Her finger nails long and well manicured, mine short and look like some kind of pork sausage.

Her hair, multifunctional shades of blonde. Mine a shade of salt and pepper silver.

Her eyes blue as the sky, mine the colour of mud.

Her walk confident and sassy, mine the walk of the condemned going into old age.

Her face, perfect and angelic. Mine like a lived in old boot.

But, she is me.

The beauty of our world is that we can either limit ourselves by our own choosing, or we can fly like the eagles and be who we are in spirit. The shell doesn’t matter. It’s just the vessel we occupy.

Love yourself and remember no matter what the imperfections, it’s who and what you are inside.

I’m taking a moment to say hey Happy Saturday. Even if it means doing housework and such stuff it’s still great to arrive. I’m babysitting as per normal and the said child is currently having a Paw Patrol moment.

In between he is discussing all sorts of stuff. But the best bit is he has been singing Elton Johns, “I’m still standing” in between doing chocolate starfish!!

Yeah basically bending over and thrusting his bottom up and shouting Chocolate Starfish!

I am just headed home on the bus of infinite excitement.

It’s the bus of both hope and dread. Hope that I will be home soon but dread that the schoolies are out in full force.

The schoolies are their usual excitable selves, smelling of stale perfumes and aftershaves with the fresh smell of tobacco and vape as they puffed away at the bus stop.

I often wonder why it’s considered so cool to vape. Let alone smoke. But even today in 2019 after many years of educating it still has a huge draw addiction.

I’ve never felt compelled.

Not sure if it’s my desire to breathe well or my vanity. Smoking has never been for me.

Watch me skip to work.

It’s Friday and the last 8 hours for this week before two days of chilling.

I cannot wait. Hence the huge grin on my pixel and human faces.

Friday is definitely the one day of the week when I feel colour and relief.

Weekends mean no rushing and pyjama mornings.

Of course there is also the huge added bonus of a little person who comes to hang out with me on Saturdays.

We discuss all sorts of fascinating things. Generally dinosaur related.

Somehow this image isn’t quite what is happening.

I mean here today in reality, its raining for starters. Wearing a babydoll dress would not  be convenient and the other not happening thing is the leap into the air.

I mean in my head Im leaping. Many reasons for that but not telling.

The reality is I am sat on said PC chair typing this and wishing that I was walking along a beautiful coastal beach with sand between my toes and the sun on my skin.

Its the end of the weekend and none of that happened. Am I disappointed? Hell yes!

On this day in 2012 I had the phone call in the early hours from Australia, that my mum had died.

It was the most painful telephone call I have ever received.

So many memories and what if’s have saturated my mind since. I sang this for her funeral and this is buried with her. I cannot sing, but she loved to hear me.

Today I will have a beer for you mum.
