The visual is old because Christmas is a break for me of which it means no faffing to take a picture.
How was your festive time? Mine was peaceful, lazy and time with my kids which to me is important. I mean we are still in festive time, but the family are now doing their own thing.
It’s a rare pause where we can be fully together, without the usual pull of work, schedules, or distractions. A chance to slow down and choose each other. I want my children to remember that when time allowed, we spent it together present, attentive, and connected.
I guess I want them to remember me and not ever forget that I’m here and they have been the best part of me. The very best.
These days aren’t guaranteed, and they won’t last forever. Something I’ve learnt this year with the c scare.
That’s why they matter. Christmas gives us time, time when shared with the people you love, is the most important thing we have.
