Who is this?

Who is this?

I have been in my own zone this weekend. Relaxing from the virtual world and just doing me.

Today I’m introducing reality me to the throw but with a twist.

I’m doing a social experiment in real life and I wanted to tell you all about it.

Yes you will have to watch the video, as that is the whole point. You have to see the visual behind this experiment to understand the actual experiment.

Let me know your thoughts after because I sure have many myself.

I credit my mum  for the cheekbones as  its a family trait.

I also credit my mum for my amazing hair  and chirpy disposition despite all things that are in the world to bring us down.

My youthful skin is courtesy of regular use of Oil of Olay and using baby bum wipes to wipe makeup off.

My eyes are a result of eating all the carrots I was told to when I was younger under the belief I would go blind if I didn’t.  Fact though, I’m still as blind as a bat!

Essentially I credit myself for just looking amazing on an app. After all I had to push the buttons!!!!

Mostly I credit the company who came up with the FACE APPwho have now confused me and made me think about this social experiment just to see how far it will go.

Va Gina

Va Gina

I never did do a blog post for my most recent Va Gina video. That’s totally remiss of me as I know some folk in my blog are not virtual players and are not in my virtual Facebook feed to see the update.

For that I apologise. Life has been very hectic for me trying to keep up with work, what’s going on in the world, union activity and frankly my own self.

Anyhow I released it over last Saturday in the very early hours of U.K. time whilst I was asleep.

Yes the scheduled button . Marvellous thing that. Only thing I have noticed that WordPress pretty much sucks at it’s scheduling and that was pretty disappointing to see with another I scheduled. But that’s not for this post.

The video I made with the help of my lovely good friend Yorkie who happens to be the love interest of VaGina.

Yorkie is definitely the most loveliest of souls I have met online and I seriously would use my handbag and swipe someone who would ever attempt to hurt him. Just saying. I adore him and Rosie as good people are very rare nowadays.

Anyhow I digress. (I’m good at digressing). So the video came out and if you follow the story of Va Gina then you understand she is a lady who is fiesty, confident and comfortable in her own skin. Though she likes to spend too much time in the sun. Contrary to dermatological advice,

I enjoy her character at the moment because she is about me and about throwing away the stereotype of what is expected to see of a virtual woman.

Often I wish to change my avatar completely to her but unfortunately SL creators are still stuck in their belief that all women wear one body. (No pun intended).

So I was a little surprised when someone watched my video and made the comments that I was making fun of being fat and using stereotypical humour. I guess fat shaming?

Now that actually did make me question a number of things but certainly not myself at all.

For you see, each character I create are different aspects of me and I reveal those through my characters.

I would never ever fat shame anyone ever. Because I’m not slim gal. I’m “big boned” too!!!

So it is rather ironic that such a comment is made. I don’t consider it nasty or anything and can see the logic of why that person thought to, although on the wrong track.

Va Gina is my way of showing the world that not all women have to be skinny bimbos to be in this world and be seen. To be noticed and to be relevant. Big girls and men can be present in social media for being themselves and not for the over sexualised fantasies of men or women who like big people. Let’s be honest, there’s a whole lot of that in social media at the moment.

So it saddened me to see that kind of comment because, I seriously am the last person who would do that.

But let me add, will it stop me being all of my selves? Errr nope! Because at the end of the day, I do what makes me happy and I respect my own decisions and interpretations.

I want those “big boned” virtual characters to have as much highlight as the Barbie look avatar images. Because reality is about all types.

I want second life to reflect that just like reality all people who are good and decent are beautiful in their own ways.

My Va Vagina is beautiful. She has the sass of the most confident woman but also the vulnerability of the woman who can be insecure. Me. And let’s face it, she has Yorkie!!!!

Now wouldn’t all the women and men out there want that!!

Be a little rebel

Be a little rebel

Today I’m being a little rebel. Why not.

The video has nothing to do with anything I guess . But why not.

The photo reflects my idea of just doing something different. Even if slightly dangerous as I hang off hot air balloon.

Happy Friday everyone!!!!

Burlesque

I am feeling Sassy!!!

Only in a virtual way. In reality I’m not feeling so great. In fact stomach pain and it’s breath taking. Literally. Last time I had all this it was medication related and the effects in the stomach. Catch 22, need the medication, but don’t need this!

I’m glad I’m a hard worker in all lives because it means I’m always ahead of myself so can still release my videos and blogs. Well for now anyhow. I’ll run out by Sunday.

The dance is the Burlesque and it’s beautifully done as always by Miss Dakota by Paragon Dance Animations. All details below the video. Enjoy.

Goodnight sweethearts

Goodnight sweethearts

It’s the early hours of Monday morning right now.

I should be asleep, but I’m not tired.

With the COVID-19 Lockdown I have found the days basically blurring into each other and my current wardrobe attire is pyjamas. I basically shower each night and pop on a clean pair of pjs and then shower again in the morning and wear them again. I still do my hair and a bit of tinted moisturiser but that’s basically it.

I kid you not, my wash load is currently basically pyjamas and knickers.

My baps get to hang freely, why wear a bra?

The only time that changes is when I step out the door for a exercise stroll or like today, a visit to Tesco for some groceries.

Can I tell you how emotional I was when I walked down the egg aisle today and found 3 boxes of eggs!!! Seriously I was so thrilled.

I could have fried them in the aisle with joy. No really I’m not even exaggerating.

I haven’t been able to get eggs for the past few weeks.

I literally cannot wait till the morning. Egg and bacon !!!!

How does your garden Grow

How does your garden Grow

How does your garden grow? Well I am guessing at the moment rather well given many people are at home and finding things to do.

How are your bushes?

I personally live in an apartment with a lake view and a balcony so mine is rather spiffing.

My garden is preferably inside and my apartment has a jungle feel with 3 trees in the living room. I have always had a thing about inside plants wherever I have lived. On a big scale I might add.

They help to make me feel calm and more in a peaceful mindset.

But if I had a garden I would consider this idea just as it appears in the picture.

Of course the reality of would look way better than my attempts at décor pictures.

Even in world it looked way better than my picture attempt. Still in Beverley’s video below you do actually get to see the lovely MLaw hanging chair and Raindales Gachas and can appreciate it a little more.

The Getaway

The Getaway

I chuckle to myself as I sit here tapping this blog into my phone.

Why I hear you echo?

I’m now on holiday from work till the 14 April and it just made me chuckle because I’m going absolutely nowhere!!’ Nowhere!

My trip will be from bed to work desk and as of tomorrow it will be from bed to sofa! Living the dream, the current Covid19 one.

I didn’t have many plans when I first booked the time off. Only I had planned some days hanging out with my daughter and her son. Day trips that kind of thing.

Sadly due to Lockdown that is not possible.

I’m right now missing my son and daughter a great deal. Doing the brave I’m ok and I’m fine face but inside my heart struggles with the knowing I have no idea when I can next hug them.

It’s such an uncertain time and I’m wondering how long this may go on for.

We are in the early stages and already it feels suffocating the restriction to life as we know it.

But, we can find ways to explore the world in the confines of our isolation. Today I’m taking you to a place called The Getaway.

CORE – Manticore Games

CORE – Manticore Games

Core is an endless universe of games and worlds designed by a global community of creators.

A multiverse if you will,  of places to go and just have random fun in and if you are feeling creative, go create your own vision.

I applied when this was in the Alpha to explore it and see what it was about. I figured I’m not a creator but definitely an explorer and like to find news things to do when I fancy.

I’m so recommending this as frankly I have had a laugh just flitting about the place pretending I’m this chick on a skateboard racing around people.

I met a guy and asked how to take a photo. Well I fell for the oldest trick in the book.

The good old Alt F4!!!

Need I say more. I’m averse to instructions and tend to blunder my way around. I eventually catch up and so maybe next video I will astound you with my camera skills. Right now come check it out below. Why not? Lets face it in this current climate of self isolation, we need to find our own entertainment and lets just explore everything there is out there.
