Wandering out to sea

Wandering out to sea

It’s late and I really should be asleep right now. However chances of that is zero to none.

I have so much on my mind right now that it’s almost near full. Can a mind get full? I think it can. Mines full of a lot of old junk that swishes around when anything new falls in to upset the equilibrium.

I once saw a clairvoyant and she scared me by how she could read me. People think they can and assume they can, but I’m more complex than that really.

People only see what I allow them to see. The rest is guarded by a steel vault that only I know the code to. No one has ever cracked it. The person who does, god help them.

The best description of me is the one the clairvoyant gave me.

I’m an island. I’m alone in the sea and I only truly rely on me. To be honest I’ve been my own guide all my life.

Right now though I really wish my island me would try and connect to the mainland. I fear that if I float out any further to sea I’ll never come back.

I need a drink

I need a drink

Welcome to Monday! What a day is all I can say.

I had my liver scanned today after a 4 month delay due to COVID lockdown and frankly the way I see it if there was anything to worry about then meh. As in oh well. Not much else I can add to that.

Work. Well that was full on and I don’t think I even caught up with myself, let alone anything anyone else may have asked me to do.

In the grand scheme, that’s the way it rolls for today.

When I say I need a drink. I don’t mean alcohol by the way. The title just fitted with the photo. But it’s the inference I just need a moment.

Let the day catch up with me with a nice hot cup of tea while my mushy head processes today.

It is only Monday. Good lord I hate to think what the rest of the week entails.

Anyhow in to the outfit for today and my mush gush over the people I blog for.

Designer Showcase. The Designer Showcase is one of the longest running fashion events in Second Life. Over 12 years now. Quietly steady and just there each month with a variety of people in Second Life bringing their works to the fore.

What I love about working with them is a genuine strong set of principles and a feeling of being incredibly appreciated. Ive been with them since I basically started and that’s been omg since 2016 ish. So long I’m losing my marbles already.

I’m wondering if the owner Aisha may consider a pension plan for me as I’ll likely be still blogging with her right to the death.

One thing about me is I truly appreciate those that gave me a chance. Who believed in me and took a chance on me. Designer Showcase certainly did and for that I owe them a lot of gratitude for letting me loose at making photos and videos using stuff.

Anyhow enough of that gush. I’m off to crack the kettle on and indulge in a Tetleys.

Under the light

Under the light

I have forgotten those days of how it feels to dress up and feeling sassy. (In reality not pretend land.)

I mean seriously I cannot remember the last time I dressed up to the max, did the whole makeup and hair routine and sprayed myself with my fave perfume. Stepped out the door for a night on the tiles as the saying goes.

The scene here in this photo reminds me of standing outside after a few drinks, grabbing some fresh air and staring at the guy who came outside with his mates. Wishing he would talk to me as I try to appear chilled and more confident than I really am.

Back in the day huh.

Now roll on a few years later and COVID times, the thought is far from my mind.

The only clubbing experience I will have knowing it’s safe, is a virtual one.

The only guy I’ll stare at will be the hot dude I flicked past on Instagram and decided to stop on his page and look a while.

So yes this photo scene is conjuring thoughts in my head of a time that I don’t think I’ll ever experience again.

I’m wondering what will be the new scenario for the younger generation. Will they get to experience that feeling?

Will they get to have the experience or will it be mandatory masks coordinated with the outfit?

Who knows. It’s early days still, but a question I’m asking.

Be a little rebel

Be a little rebel

Today I’m being a little rebel. Why not.

The video has nothing to do with anything I guess . But why not.

The photo reflects my idea of just doing something different. Even if slightly dangerous as I hang off hot air balloon.

Happy Friday everyone!!!!

Reflection but …

Reflection but …

The title has absolutely nothing to do with today’s blog post. But then anyone who takes the time to read my blog will know I have always many rambling thoughts in my head and titles never indicate what you may read.

Last night I had a anti pc night and decided to mix it up in this dream we are living in.

I ordered takeaway kebabs and we watched lame films. But around 1am found ourselves glued to a film called Predestination.

The most quirky interesting film to watch. I recommend the watch. Though I’m going to now tell some of the plot so look away if you don’t want to know.

Girl is left on the steps of an orphanage, grows up different from all those around her, meets boy, he disappears, she is pregnant. Gives birth but then baby stolen from hospital and she never sees said child again.

The twist? Said child is the child laid at the door of the orphanage all those years ago. The man? Is her after discovering after child birth she is intersex and is forced to become a man.

So story, basically she has sex with herself, conceived herself and then her male side, leaves herself at the orphanage steps.

Confused???

Seriously watch it!!!
