I was watching the news this morning. Now bearing in mind it’s difficult to ascertain if it’s correct or not because well we can’t believe everything we see anymore.
Apparently those on the red carpet at Cannes are not allowed to take selfies.
If they do whip out the phone camera apparently they will be removed off the red carpet.
In this day and age I can think of bigger issues. On the other hand I can also see that the red carpet is the zone where celebrities as part of their role are to be interacting with the press and fans. But with today’s technology fans also extend to Twitter and Instagram . Not sure on this one but I’ve decided I’m going to roll out a red carpet outside my front door later and let them know they’re welcome to come selfie.
