Constant Reflecting

Constant Reflecting

Good morning everyone. Hope your Sunday has started well.

I’m regularly finding myself taking time away from sitting at a PC lately.

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately about how we all tend to disappear into ourselves to ignore reality and pretend it doesn’t exist. Either through virtual worlds, gaming, films etc.

Well I hate to break the news. It exists in abundance and I hate to say the bad news, we have to go back to it often in order to change it.

It is easy to pop a switch on and press log in and we transport ourselves into our own fantasy. The harder part is returning to deal with our reality. But we have to.

The reality isn’t so great for many of us.

A constant worry about what life is going to be like due to this COVID pandemic and now looming recession. People passing away before their time and us not knowing what our futures are.

Reflection is important as it is time to prioritise and give thought to yourself and what you personally need in your life.

For me, it’s blowing away the negative forces of COVID, lifting the fog and seeing a positive future for all my family friends and ultimately myself.

I still want to travel and “find myself”. I still want to find my soul mate. See my children thrive and my grandchildren grow.

My message is simple. Remember your realities and don’t give up on knowing you have a big part in deciding the path you want it to go down. Enjoy the virtual but don’t rely on it to change that reality. The reality as dismal as it may feel, requires your regular interaction to make something of it.

Make it work for you!!!

Look after yourselves and take time today to smile at those close to you and be thankful for all the wonderful ways we have to reach those we love and care about.

Who is this?

Who is this?

I have been in my own zone this weekend. Relaxing from the virtual world and just doing me.

Today I’m introducing reality me to the throw but with a twist.

I’m doing a social experiment in real life and I wanted to tell you all about it.

Yes you will have to watch the video, as that is the whole point. You have to see the visual behind this experiment to understand the actual experiment.

Let me know your thoughts after because I sure have many myself.

I credit my mum  for the cheekbones as  its a family trait.

I also credit my mum for my amazing hair  and chirpy disposition despite all things that are in the world to bring us down.

My youthful skin is courtesy of regular use of Oil of Olay and using baby bum wipes to wipe makeup off.

My eyes are a result of eating all the carrots I was told to when I was younger under the belief I would go blind if I didn’t.  Fact though, I’m still as blind as a bat!

Essentially I credit myself for just looking amazing on an app. After all I had to push the buttons!!!!

Mostly I credit the company who came up with the FACE APPwho have now confused me and made me think about this social experiment just to see how far it will go.

Sansar Art and Dance

Sansar Art and Dance

Frankly there is so much I want to show you when I visit Sansar.

Today I am taking you on a little tour of the very beautiful and yet macabre art of Matt Ivy brought into a Sansar.

As you land at the top of the walk way you realise straight away that this isn’t your ordinary run of the mill art gallery.

The sounds of eerie goings on flutter in and out as you walk towards the destination. (I have not recorded these so you can find out for yourself)

Come with me as I take you into my video.

The eyes have it

The eyes have it

I’m on the bus headed to work and it’s Friday. I’ve got through this week and my self is feeling ok to be honest. Weird how we go up and down with events in our lives.

I’m glad though as for one thing I hate feeling low and making those around me suffer the journey.

As part of my Fibro I suffer depression bouts and have done for quite a while.

I’m very resilient to negative episodes at times and then other times I can spiral. When something like a Death happens I can for a few days not process and then it hits me. Which is what happened to me this week.. Hence my reason for not filming at all this week. I can’t hide my soul even if it’s as a virtual character because my voice gives away my mood.

But today I’m feeling positive . I’ve done a lot of all the positive things this week to change my emotional direction of travel.

Taken away the things that I cherish (ie filming) and set them to the side and concentrated on just me and daily life. My virtual time has also been about no filming or blogging and just about time to me. As most know I’m a solitary dweller in world and it’s how I am. I have a handful of good friends and they know how I am and are always there if I want to talk.

Would you believe I took up running?

Not real running. I’ve been jogging my virtual me around my land. I know, nuts huh. But weirdly I love doing that.

I’ve realised how important it is that I do my weird things and I can see why now.

Coffee about Trolls, blogger issues and a thank you

Coffee about Trolls, blogger issues and a thank you

So I had a multitude of issues trying to upload Coffee with Isa to YouTube.

Then I realized actually by integrating the virtual me it caused the upload to crash each time as when I removed the majority of the virtual overlay, finally after 3 attempts last night and then another 4 coming home today. Job done.

Here it is.
