How does your garden Grow

How does your garden Grow

How does your garden grow? Well I am guessing at the moment rather well given many people are at home and finding things to do.

How are your bushes?

I personally live in an apartment with a lake view and a balcony so mine is rather spiffing.

My garden is preferably inside and my apartment has a jungle feel with 3 trees in the living room. I have always had a thing about inside plants wherever I have lived. On a big scale I might add.

They help to make me feel calm and more in a peaceful mindset.

But if I had a garden I would consider this idea just as it appears in the picture.

Of course the reality of would look way better than my attempts at décor pictures.

Even in world it looked way better than my picture attempt. Still in Beverley’s video below you do actually get to see the lovely MLaw hanging chair and Raindales Gachas and can appreciate it a little more.

The Saturday Blues

The Saturday Blues

Saturday blues.

I haven’t got them but I know a few of my friends are currently struggling at the moment.

I’ve managed to do all sorts of housey things in the real world. Even changed the bedding and stroked the cats.

Made incredibly ridiculous videos about self isolation for my friends and basically just a normal day for me.

I’m used to being alone and occupying myself.

Boredom has never really been a word I’ve used.

Though it may come to my vocabulary on days of work because we are restricting what our roles are doing and not calling people.

That I may struggle with, as despite my loner ways, I love talking.

It’s part of my psyche and keeps me motivated and part of life.

Time will tell.

In the meantime I’ve been compiling a few videos and will see how I narrate these given I have not done that in front of the housemate as yet.

This could be interesting!!!

In the meanwhile our virtual worlds are actually getting more traffic as we spend more time participating within them.

So if you are going to decorate your garden with something for you and your loved one why not trying out the zeros Hiding place.

It has some lovely couple animations within it.

Currently $60L on the MP!

Home isolation

Home isolation

I am guessing many of you are on isolation from the work place as you start working from home.

Maybe you are  isolated as someone is showing signs of illness or maybe like me you have underlying conditions considered a risk.

I already have  for a year worked from home. I am therefore quite adept to isolated working as it suits my inner wierdo as well as my health.

Many of us are extremely lucky to have space for our isolation. A balcony, garden or courtyard we can disappear into and breathe the world in and stretch.

Spare a thought for those  who don’t have the luxury of balcony or a garden. Isolation is within 4 walls and can be pretty lonely for anyone alone or pretty anxious and fraught for those living on top of each other.

Encourage some virtual social networking if you can to enable those people who have no one to talk to and would love some company, encourage them to join us in our virtual worlds whichever ones you are in.

For the current future this is our lives until the madness dissipates and we may as well make the best of it. Its such a strange time and scary one, but we dont have to sit with that weighing on us, we can choose to just make the best of our current situations and find things to occupy our minds and time.

Spend more time with those you live with, bake, play games, discuss dreams and ambitions.  Make video memories and take photos.

Be positive and laugh. For the most part, laughter is a free medicine and you helping with that smile on someone’s face, is the best gift you can give.

On another note, be like me and bask in the sunset and feel the beauty of life.

This is the first time I am blogging for M Law Designs and as we know im not an overly huge décor blogger but I want to get better. Of course I prefer people in a photo and so as per usual for me most of the time I had to throw myself on the day bed and wear a outfit from IM Collection….

My garden has changed since this picture. The lovely couch and harp are still out there but I’ve gone a little nuts with my home.

All will be revealed at some stage, if I don’t change my mind before!! Designer Showcase and Raindale. Deets in the credits below.

On another note. I hope you are all ok and looking after yourselves.

We are facing a wierd time in history and bombarded by so much news that we really don’t know what is best to do.

Personally I’m taking the approach of trying not to become obsessed with the situation but at the same time, exercising care and making sure I am not placing myself in situations that could make me carry anything.

I have my own underlying health issues, but so do a heck of a lot of people. Remember, underlying health issues are the ones you cannot easily see.

It’s not just old people, it’s any age that can have one.

My grandson is 4, to be 5 in July. Those that have been with me a long time know Mason’s story.

There are many children like him out there, who come though heart operations but you still have to remember, it’s not always visible.

Children are not immune. Don’t assume that.

Be sensible, don’t panic. But I agree make sure you have food in your cupboards, but for goodness sake, don’t forget the elderly who can’t run to the stores or the poorer people around you and the homeless people.

Donate to food banks!!!

Look out for them. Put your hand in that shopping bag and share.

Snow homes

Snow homes

Ok if I really could have a home in reality like this I would.

Do you think Keira Raindale could possibly build me one and box it so I can Rez it here in reality ready for the snow?

Ok I’m hearing the sounds of “Liz get a grip”.

But what if?

Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.

Exploring Bayou Du Chat Noir

Exploring Bayou Du Chat Noir

There are some times I don’t actually want to appear in a video, especially when my virtual self is having a bad hair day. I will say of course, she never has a bad hair day ever.

However I always feel the need to talk. Though today, I decided I would do less of the chatter and let you enjoy the lovely Bayou Du Chat Noir in its  glory.

What a gorgeous place to visit. So full of atmosphere and I can imagine the deep south warmth of the summer and  Blues and Soul music  escaping  out the windows of homes as you slowly walk along the gravel roads.

Crocodiles hiding off the shores of the swampy waters and the smell of Cajun and Creole foods drifting in the air.

A shot of whisky on your travels and the dusk settling.

Now the video……

Hot drinks and pumpkin pies

Hot drinks and pumpkin pies

Autumn I would say has officially landed!

All the warm browns and oranges are starting to slowly appear both in reality and in Second Life. Apparently Halloween is fast approaching too.

Time to get out all the pumpkin pies and warm drinks in readiness for the last few evenings where it’s chilly but not like the Antarctic outside.

Although I do love an Antarctic blast. I make no secret of that. I cannot wait for snow!

Winter excites me because I grew up in sunshine constantly . Chilly was a cardigan. Chilly by my old standards was around 18-19 degrees Celsius. So the -2 is still a novelty to me.

Wooly coats and boots with matching scarves and gloves, my guilty pleasures. The white stuff? Sublime.

Ye gods I can hear you all erupt at the same time.

Humour me. I can make do with virtual white stuff if I have to. But just one time let me experience a proper heavy snowfall at Christmas. Just once?

Now for what sparked my thoughts today…..

Cake and all things nice

Cake and all things nice

After work today I went over to my friends house for an afternoon tea date with my other friend. We had an afternoon tea party.

It was Annette’s birthday yesterday and so we had some cucumber and ham sandwiches and cake. Lots of cake. Oh and ice cream and strawberries and more ice cream, and lots of cake!

Hence when I decided to take a photo of Raindale’s  Lanhall planters, the inspiration was  for more cake. If I could have thrown in some ice-cream I would have.

When we get together its an eat fest. I wont deny this. We like chocolate and we love ice-cream.

Nothing to do with these gorgeous planters but what the hell you may as well know how I rocked my after work hours today. Now a wee video popped on flickr.  Not sure it will thrill you but I am trying to show they change colour. Watch, no watch I am serious

Flicker video:-
