Second Life News

Earlier today, 9:30am SLT time or 4:30pm UK time myself and other bloggers were in a zoom meeting with the Linden Lab people by special invite. (Of course I was a little mesmerised by them. Can’t be helped. )

Brad Oberwager, Philip Rosedale, Grumpity Linden, Brett Linden and Adam Frimsby.

Strawberry was there as well and let’s face it without Strawberry, Bloggers would never have shone for Second life as much as they have. Thats absolute fact.

We listened to their passion for lifting Second Life and injecting more interest into it. I think all of us present have ideas. We also all have platforms for sharing information and positives.

What is clear is, they would like to work with people of Second Life towards enriching the user base as well as exchanging some ideas.

The goal is to reawaken interest in Second Life among former users and attract new users to join the community.

That is certainly where bloggers can write, video, podcast etc to raise the great stuff about our virtual world.

It was totally fascinating to listen to their passion The Big Daddy himself (Philip Rosedale) and the newer daddy (Brad Oberwager) speak.

Can I just say, I have super crushed today and I’m available for dates, marriage and retirement!!!

Kidding. OR am I?

This is very true our lives have changed a lot.

If you don’t know it yet. The Second Life App is now out ready to download. Keep in mind, it’s a mobile app not a desktop all singing all dancing Second Life replacement.

As said, the mobile app is crafted to provide an exceptional experience for current Second Life users while also striving to re-engage the many former users who have moved on over the years. As noted, “Being tethered to a desktop isn’t how we live anymore.”.

The mobile app is still new and it’s still being tweaked and worked on but it’s now downloadable. Download the Second Life app from here
