I’ll just sit here

Here we are back at Monday again. Those 4 days off seem like they never happened. Though they did because everyone I look at has sunburnt themselves like lobsters after a joyous weekend of sun and beaches and barbecues. Jolly good too.

So today apparently we are let loose like puppets as we rush to herd. I’ll not be doing so, as I’ve actually gotten used to being more sensible and my outlook has changed a lot.

I don’t need freedom of mixing with hundreds of people as frankly I enjoyed certain aspects of lockdown which was to not see those that don’t count in my life. I’ll continue on that path.

I have no real need to visit coffee shops wasting money when I learnt that my friends and I don’t need coffee shops to get together.

I don’t need nightclubs as I already lived 30 years of clubbing days. I don’t need busy public transport as I work at home any way. I also don’t need a lot of things we did without this past year, because I really didn’t need them. I just used to want them.

All I need is good friends and family around me that are healthy and happy. It’s that simple.

So don’t mind me as I sit here watching the release of the human cattle. I shan’t be joining them as I don’t need to.

By the way you have to admit, I do look rather sassy here just watching.

  1. I’m in similar position here, I’ll only go out when I need to, and wearing a mask on public transport and in shops and other crowded places. I hope everyone else uses common sense now, but I’m working on the assumption that I’ll be in the minority.

    1. I’m with you in the minority though to be honest I think there are more of us than we realise.
We practice what we are safe and happy with then at least we are taking our own responsibility. Be safe ❤️
