It’s not perfect

So I’m now in the underlying conditions isolation part of the world gone wierd.

This all got real when I went to the grocery store Tesco and the shelves were empty. Then I convinced myself this has to be a dream, surely.

I’ll wake up soon and life will just be “normal”.

It’s not a dream and the hard hard hard reality is we are facing a very difficult time. How do we cope with this will vary from person to person.

I want to say laughter is a very good medicine. It is a positive way to lift spirits at times of tough living and sadness.

Laughter is not disrespecting a situation or making light.

It’s a way some of us as human beings find to deal with a difficult time, for our own mindfulness.

So please at this time, don’t attack people for their ways of coping. Everyone comes in different ways. We are all individuals.

I’ve seen people accusing others of being disrespectful or cashing in on the situation.

The truth is, everyone has their own situations and we can’t “suppose” on what theirs is.

This situation is something everyone is now in, not just a few. Remember that.

Be kind to each other. Kindness after all is free!

I broke my pixel wrist on this pose. I nearly deleted it, but decided to use it, to show life is not perfect.

  1. We’ve had fun and games here the last week or so with getting the weekly shop. We nearly had to ration toilet paper last week, until my sister managed to grab some packs in town. Now, both the nearest big supermarkets to us have no home delivery slots, or even store collection, for next three weeks. Fortunately, we found out via our local Nextdoor community that Iceland are still doing deliveries, and there are several local shops near us for anything we need in the meantime.

I’m making sure I wash my hands regularly and thoroughly, and I’ve got some hand-sanitiser in my coat pocket for when I go out to the shops or pharmacy. Speaking of which, I need to get a blood-test done at the surgery tomorrow morning, but they’re closed to through-traffic so I’ll need to bang on the front door to get let in. I wish they’d told me earlier, but hey ho, at least I’ll get my prescription once that’s done.

I’m still taking daily walks, and will do that for as long as I’m able. Feeling OK currently. My mum is doing gardening to take her mind off of the news. Keep Calm & Carry On. 🙂

    1. Yeah it’s a wierd time. Very surreal. I’m not To socialise cause of my health and I’m like hang on I’ll go into mental breakdown if I don’t see my children etc. I’m not stocked up at all. Tesco can’t get a slot and I can’t carry much. So I accepted my fate for now. Shower nozzle when the loo roll runs out lol
My colleagues from work messaging me on Skype and we all feeling tearful and trying not to be. Our jobs are with adult social services and worried about the people we deal with. Then of course our own.
Stay well and just keep on keeping on. I plan to smile laugh and whatever because I’m better dealing with things that way. X

  2. Here in the US (I’m in Massachusetts) supplies (sanitizers, paper products, canned goods, meats, dried goods..ect) are low but obtainable. My mom and I have been out searching for supplies to share with my great-grams, and two scared very sweet elderly neighbors that each live on their own. Humor is always a good release, it doesn’t bother me that some SL people are profiting on the pandemic at all, as I commented in on a YT vlog “if anyone doesn’t like it they don’t have to buy it” right? About a year ago I was going through things in my great grams attic for her and came across a depression recipe book I think I’ll try a few recipes during this crazy time it might be an interesting experience and perhaps a well needed one. One good note from the non travel ban Dave is close by. Stay safe Isa and hope your wrist is on the mend. 😛 luv ya & hugzz

    1. Totally agree. We need to find the humour as people will go a little stir crazy. And I’d rather people profited and we kept SL economy going as well. Let’s all keep each other entertained and positive and look for the humour in life. ❤️
