I’m on the bus headed home and have just been sent an email from the union that’s completely stunned me. Nothing like my rather chilled looking avatar.
They are looking at delegations of people being sent overseas from the various UK unions to show solidarity in the fight for union activism in areas not renowned for the good treatment of workers.
These are:
- A delegation to Palestine (jointly with other regions, and run by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign), which would be for 4 people from the south east England taking place 2-8 November 2019.
- A potential delegation to Colombia (organised by Justice for Colombia), date to be confirmed.
- People to participate in the Cuba Cycle Challenge (this involves cycling and being able to fundraise)
So I have just put myself forward for Palestine and Columbia.
So watch this space.
That’s my outstanding news for today. I don’t thing anything can top that right now.

I’d be known as Minister Cheren aka Liz and rule the country from my virtual parliament office at 10 Linden Lane and all expenses would be based on Lindens .
Boris could be made Jester and be delegated as entertainment at Trafalgar Square. I may let him earn tips in order to get a good hair cut

Well more like opportunity I guess. I’m applying but I want to know first what the message is and all that kind of thing. I’m hoping it’s not anti Israel because that’s not on my own personal agenda as the Palestinian trip interests me. Opportunity to meet people from the ground and not listen to gossip miscommunications or press
