Going skateboarding

I am considering taking up some form of activity other than my usual.

Apparently Pilates is a good exercise for people with Fibromyalgia. Something I need to investigate further into and look at doing.

The other thing I definitely am planning to do is Tai Chi. Good for the body and mind.

I used to do a bit many years ago when I was in Sydney and it was ultimately a great way to start the day. Not that I can remember many moves so a dvd it is.

Though I really do wish I could skateboard again.

Back in the day I was very good at it and you would be shocked to learn that I could jump and 360 turns etc. Yes I know. Hard to imagine now. But fact. I also used to body surf and swim every single day.

The funniest thing though is despite me being really good on a skateboard, to this day I still can’t stand on roller skates!

Whatever your day is mapped out to do, consider taking on a new activity. Something that will make you feel good and challenge you a bit. I’ve woken up today and am so going to test my body because that’s what living is about.

Try and do the best you can with what little you have. Surprise yourself.

  1. I’m not surprised you were a great skateboarder! Aussies have a much better attitude towards sports.

The English don’t take exercise at all seriously, though. The number of folks I know who sign on for a monthly access to Gym/Sports centre and then don’t bother to go, are innumerable. I still enjoy swimming even though it’s in a much reduced capacity and I need someone to help, I used to enjoy horse riding and windsurfing when I was able bodied.

So I’m very pleased to get one of those new Animesh water horses and am currently learning to ride and jump fences with him/her lol – I haven’t decided which, I’m waiting for a name to inspire me. But I’m glad the designer included a horse for tall avatars. Unfortunately, my feet don’t fit in the stirrups even on the tall version, but it doesn’t really matter. Beautifully made product, I must say. I was fiddling with Pathfinding on my building platform but I couldn’t change it (it’s a rental) so I’m unable to lead the horse or allow it to wander which is a bit disappointing. I’ll try that on Calas Galadhon sims as I know they are fully enabled for the Animesh horses.

    1. Yeah I was a pretty active person. Life changes huh.
I’m not joining a gym. God no. The cost is too much for me currently and I’d prefer the privacy of only my cats watching and laughing. OMG I used to do Jane Fonda when the kids were younger. “Feel the burn”. Lol
We will have to take Harriet and Gabriel horseriding! Lol

      1. I know what you mean! I think the local gym club joining up is a kind of elitism thing where I live and half of them never intend to use the equipment but they like to say… I belong to xyz sports centre and you don’t mate, whatever – folks are funny 🙂

Yes, Harriet can laugh as Gabriel’s unruly horse gallops off towards the nearest river with him still holding on to the reins *laughs*
