So I’m on the bus now. A little while ago I was sat at home in front of my television drinking my tea and putting my face on to get ready for work.
The news was on and on my screen came the story about the couple from California keeping 13 of their children shackled in their home. Absolutely shocking.
But what’s more shocking might I add is that despite 13 young people basically missing no one noticed or reported something was amiss. No one!!
That bit puzzles me because you can’t just hide a family of 13 just like that with absolutely no one noticing ? Clearly it seems you can.
We don’t know yet the logic of their actions (clearly there is none) but what they are thinking. Were they both mentally ill, drug addicted, drunk or just plain evil.
Whatever the reasons behind it, I think personally I struggle with the fact that people never think to raise alarm warnings when a family of 13 . Thirteen!! Young people are no longer being seen. Are people that consumed with their own lives they just go about their days without thought?
Baffling.
So no flowery blog today because this news item has just really bothered me as a human.

That’s very strange. You’d think the children’s pals would try to find out why – y’know if not the adults who get involved into their daily lives.

Very odd I agree but frightening by more so that people don’t notice. Their Facebook page you can see and you do notice in those photos some of those children don’t look well nourished either.

It is strange but at the same time the mentality of neighbors to not get involved is what is sad because no one wants to speak out thinking it is not their place or they just pass on letting someone else step up ~ after the fact people speak up that is the sad fact
